  • Let's suppose hdisk0 is old disk and hdisk3 is new disk
  • First of all mirror your rootvg with your new disk :
# extendvg root hdisk3
# mirrorvg -c 2 rootvg hdisk3

  • Break your mirror to remove the old disk :
# unmirrorvg rootvg hdisk0

  • Recreate sysdump :
# rmlv sysdumpdev0
# mklv -y sysdumpdev0 -t sysdump rootvg 32 hdisk3
# sysdumpdev -Pp /dev/sysdumpdev0
# sysdumpdev -l

  • Remove old disk from vg :
# reducevg rootvg hdisk0

  • Recreate BLV and bootlist :
# bootlist -m normal hdisk3
# bosboot -ad hdisk3

  • For safety you can reboot if you want to
# shutdown -Fr
